Dear Parishioners and Friends of Most Holy Trinity,
Starting on January 3, 2022, Mr. Eric Wilkes will join Most Holy Trinity as our new Religious Education Coordinator and has been working closely with Dr. Carlos Gamundi during the month of December to ensure a smooth transition plan is in place.
As Religious Education Coordinator, Eric will be responsible for providing the overall leadership and direction for parish faith formation. Currently, this includes developing curricula for catechetical instruction, sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist, coordinating Adult Faith Formation opportunities, implementing programs for Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA), and serving as the Church’s Safe Environment officer. Eric will serve as a member of the pastoral staff and work collaboratively with the clergy, faith formation volunteers, and parents..
Eric is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and he previously served as a full time missionary for two years with NET Ministries (USA) where he gave talks, facilitated small groups, and led groups of all ages in prayer through music. He has served as a worship leader and speaker nationally in over 40 states and internationally in five countries. At the parish level, Eric has served as a Youth Minister for two years at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in the Diocese of Dallas, where he gained valuable insight on how to implement programs and events to foster community for parishioners of all ages.
Eric and his wife Cori are both parishioners of Most Holy Trinity and are actively involved in working to serve the parish community by entering into the parish culture of stewardship through giving of their time, talent and treasure.
Eric’s mission in all the work he has done has been to invite others into opportunities to encounter the Persons of the Trinity in a personal and life changing way. He is looking forward to continuing this mission at Most Holy Trinity and serving the parish with his gifts and talents.
Please join in welcoming Eric to our pastoral staff! Let us hold each other in prayer in this time of transition and new beginnings.
